halloween lush haul 2016♡

I'm back finally after a long old break from blogging. I had a lovely Summer and started college too so it has been a busy few months but hopefully I will start blogging more regularly again. Today I thought I would haul my most recent trip to Lush. Lush is one of my favourite brands and I couldn't resist going in to the shop as soon as I possibly could to get some of the Halloween products. This year the range of Halloween products has been really impressive! I didn't buy the whole range as some products didn't interest me but I thought that I would still show you the few bits and bobs I did buy :)

Firstly, of course I had to pick up the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar which has been featured in the past few Halloween ranges. I personally love the look of this product -  especially the gold glitter or 'lustre' as Lush call it. The scent itself is fresh and citrusy and contains juniper berry, grapefruit oil and lime oil. It's not your typical Halloween fragrance but it's definitely one that would be universally enjoyed because of it's subtle scent. I used a piece of this this morning and the scent lingers on your skin for a few hours. Even using a small piece can create a lot of bubbles and a strong orange colour in your bath water.

I also picked up one of the new bath bombs released this year. This one is the Pumpkin bath bomb. The design is really effective and I love the carved face effect and the seasonal orange shade. According to the website this product is supposedly smelling like vanilla absolute, spicy cinnamon and a rich baking smell. I was really looking forward to this product because I love spicy warm scents as I think they scream Autumn. However, I was majorly disappointed with the scent as instead of the spice it smells like citrus sherbets and lemon. Maybe I got a bad batch or the smell may come through once it's in use, but otherwise it is a lovely product.

Lastly, I picked up the Boo bath melt. I love bath melts to use in the colder months when your skin is drier and in more need of some TLC. It contains cocoa butter which melts and acts as a body moisturiser. It smells like earthy ginger and contains mimosa absolute and geranium oil. I love the warming spicy scent this gives and I can't wait to use this! Also, it looks like a little meringue which is such a cute design.

Let me know what Halloween products you have tried from Lush!

striped deckchairs♡

Yesterday, my family and I spent a lovely afternoon by the seaside. I called this post 'striped deckchairs' as the beach was covered with deckchairs and they looked so pretty and photogenic. I love the seaside - I feel like it's an escape where you can watch the waves along the shore and just 'be.' It was such a beautiful sunny afternoon and it was the perfect weather to wear Summer dresses. I absolutely adore this beach and I took so many photographs. Here is a select few of my favourites to share with you :)

all about the stila cream convertible color♡

The other day I took the plunge and decided to purchase a beauty gem I have had my eye on for a few months. I feel like Summer especially, is the time to use cream blushers and cream products to give yourself that dewy glow. So, I went to M&S and purchased the Stila Cream Convertible color in a bid to introduce myself to cream blushers. On websites this product is described as 'a versatile favourite to brighten cheeks and lips with creamy translucent colour.' This product is designed to be used on both cheeks and lips, which again, a multi-use product always draws my attention. I picked up the colour 'lillium' which is a natural pinky colour with a hint of peach running through.

Packaging wise, I adore this product. I think the compact is really sleek and light so it is easy to pop in a makeup bag for use on the go. As well as this, it has a mirror in the lid of the product. The actual design of the compact is really beautiful. I love how each individual compact reflects the colour of the blusher and how the front of the blusher features a flower design. I think the whole look of the product really drew my attention to it. The only minor complaint is that the product does not feel like it is worth the amount of money you pay. Usually, with higher end brands the product feels heavier and therefore, more expensive. This product is £16 and I don't think the actual packaging feel reflects the money spent. However, this does not put me off as it is sleek and easy to carry around with you and the design is beautiful.

I wanted this product to give me a sheer glow but it is a very pigmented product. For me, the texture of the product resembles a lipstick as the blusher itself is designed to be a two-in-one product. When applied, the product is a lot more pigmented then you read about in the reviews. For me, the colour is not transferred softly and sheer onto the cheeks which is what I wanted this blusher to do. Obviously, some people rejoice at having quite a heavy pigmentation but for me on the cheeks it can look a bit heavy in colour. However, if you lightly swipe with your finger, you can create a more subtle look. The blush itself does give you that healthy illuminated look and the texture remains creamy and does not turn into a powdery product. As a lipstick, the product does feel creamy and comfortable. On the lips, the colour is quite pale and natural. I prefer using this product has a blusher as I prefer slightly warmer darker tones on my lips. The finish is quite a matt look on the lips which is odd as the blusher itself gives quite an illuminating look.

Overall, this product would make a lovely addition to anyone's makeup collection. Despite, me having doubts about the strong pigmentation, when applied well the blusher gives a lovely natural glow to the cheeks. I'm still unsure as to whether it was worth the money I paid for it but alas, it is still going to get lots of use over the warmer months.

Let me know if you have tried the Stila blusher or any other Stila products!

prom♡

It's crazy how the time has flown by and how I am leaving school and my exams are over! I have loved my years at school, I've made friends for life and made some amazing memories along the way. Prom happened last night for me, on the day of my last exam. It was so lovely to spend time with everyone celebrating! The evening consisted of lots of photo taking, food and lots of dancing, followed by after prom. I went with my 4 friends to prom in an orange camper van. It was such a fab evening!

The Outfit♡
My dress was around £70 from ASOS. It was a chichi London design and I absolutely loved the colour and the lace detailing. I had it altered length wise and around my bodice and sleeves. My clutch bag was £12 from New Look and it was the perfect size to fit all my essentials for the evening. My shoes were some small nude heels from Clarks which were really comfortable. I got my hair done at a salon and had some small fresh flowers put into the back. I also wore my pandora birthstone ring which matched my dress really well. I did my own makeup and kept it very neutral - I used my Naked 3 pallet and MAC's Patisserie lipstick. I also painted my nails using Tanya Burr's Mini Marshmallow nail polish which is a sheer pink colour.

I hope you have had and will have an amazing time at prom if you are going this year!

my birthday♡

Firstly, I am so sorry that I haven't been blogging throughout my exams. I still have 3 weeks to go but I thought I would blog about my birthday trip. Yesterday, I turned 16 and I went to a beautiful National Trust place and had such a lovely time walking around the gardens and the house. I hope you enjoy these photos :) x
